Dr. Arati Rao is currently a senior consultant and lead clinician for the Fetal Medicine and Fertility units at Milann Whitefield Hospital, Bangalore, one of the fastest growing hospital chains for women and children in India. She has over 15 years of clinical experience after her post graduation and is one of the few specialists in the country to have received training from two world leaders in their respective fields of medicine - Padmashri Dr. Kamini Rao in reproductive medicine,and Professor Kypros Nicolaides, in Fetal Medicine and Obstetric Ultrasound.
Dr. Rao is a graduate of MS Ramaiah Medical College, has an MD from the Command Hospital in Bangalore. She has received the Diplomate of National Board in OB Gyn, New Delhi and the Membership of the Royal College of OB Gyn (MRCOG), UK. and the National Academy of Medical Sciences.She has several publications in leading medical journals and textbooks, and was actively involved in training fellowship students (both in reproductive medicine and fetal medicine). She has organized, presented and participated in medical education programs and multiple professional society meetings, both nationally and internationally.
